The Tack Market Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Tack Market mobile app and related services. By creating an account or using The Tack Market, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use The Tack Market.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian, to use The Tack Market. By using The Tack Market you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. The service

The Tack Market is a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling horse tack in New Zealand. The Tack Market is not a party to transactions between users. The Tack Market is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of listings.

4. Listings and content

When you post a listing or message, you grant The Tack Market a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service.

5. Prohibited content and conduct — zero tolerance

We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree you will not post or engage in any of the following:

Violation may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban at our sole discretion. We review reports within 24 hours and act on confirmed violations.

6. Reporting and blocking

Users can report any listing, user, or message by tapping the flag icon in the app. Users can block other users from their profile. The Tack Market reviews every report within 24 hours and removes violating content.

7. Fees and payments

Listing is free. When an item sells through The Tack Market, a commission of 5.99% (minimum NZD $1.50, capped at NZD $100) is deducted from the sale price. Payments are processed by Stripe. Disputes are handled per Stripe's policies and our support channel.

8. Refunds

Because items are sold directly between users, refunds are at the seller's discretion unless required by New Zealand consumer law. If an item is not as described, buyers should first contact the seller. If unresolved, contact support@thetackmarket.co.nz.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law.

10. Disclaimer

The Tack Market is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will require you to re-accept before continuing to use the app.
