These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Knockoff iOS app ("Knockoff"). By downloading or using Knockoff you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Knockoff is a job-logging app for tradespeople. It uses on-device speech recognition plus the Anthropic Claude API to extract structured job records from your spoken debrief.
2. Your account and data
Knockoff does not require an account. All of your data lives on your device. You are responsible for your device, your backups, and the accuracy of the information you enter.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use Knockoff to break the law or create records that misrepresent work performed.
- Don't reverse-engineer, tamper with, or abuse the app's integration with third-party services.
- Don't use Knockoff to record or dictate private content belonging to others without consent.
4. Subscriptions
Paid tiers are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions via Apple's StoreKit. Current prices are shown in the app before purchase. Manage subscriptions at Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Third-party services
Knockoff integrates with Anthropic's Claude API. Your use of those features is also subject to Anthropic's Terms. Apple's App Store Terms apply to the purchase and delivery of Knockoff itself.
6. Disclaimers
Knockoff is provided "as is." Voice extraction is AI-assisted and may make mistakes — always review extracted data before relying on it. You remain responsible for tax, legal, and business correctness in your jurisdiction.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss arising from your use of Knockoff is limited to the fees you paid us for Knockoff in the 12 months before the event.
